Why is it important?

To our knowledge this was the first review showing the trend in patient satisfaction around the country. The correlates of satisfaction are important in addressing the current level of dissatisfaction with services.

The observed trajectory in service utilization, satisfaction scores, and their correlates may be useful for strategic planning to improve NHIS services in the country toward universal health coverage.
