What is it about?
Patients of ACS have worse outcomes if their eGFR is < 90 ml/min, even if thier serum creatinine is not overtly abnormal (> 1.5 mg/dl).

Why is it important?
eGFR has better predictive value for predicting outcomes than serum creatinine.Hence , use of eGFR is advocated by ESC guidelines and is a part of CRUSADE score.
