Why is it important?

This study intended to evaluate the potential association between the frequency of COPD exacerbation, which is considered one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of a COPD patient, and chronic periodontitis, which is found to be a common association and an important factor that can worsen the COPD patient condition and is commonly overlooked either by the patient or the doctor.

Perspectives

This study was one of the most exciting and interesting studies we have worked on because the subject is interesting and is not a common in our practice. Also, the research work with another specialty rather than ours, Pulmonary medicine, is always fruitful and the dental medicine is not a common specialty we make a research together.
