repaired tendons tend to get stuck to surrounding tissues due to healing. by starting the physiotherapy/exercise program early this issue can be overcome to a great extent.

Patients who started exercise program earlier after the surgery had better movements and returned to work faster than the other group.

Perspectives

Early active motion does offer some advantages in early postoperative period. Late and long term results though are similar to immobilization.
