Its a modification of cross finger flap. The modification helps the flap reach the raw area easily and can cover larger raw areas.

Why is it important?

a near circumferential amputation always need more tissue for cover. The new orientation of the flap makes it easier for the flap to reach the defect.

Perspectives

We have successfully tried this modification all types of terminal defects and works very well. The area of inset increases and the flaps are quiet reliable. it can reach even dorsal aspect of finger avoiding need of de-epithelialization
