What is it about?

The pupillary dilatation should be adequate for successful and safe modern cataract surgery. Study evaluates the use of a formulated solution to achieve instant pupillary dilatation for modern cataract surgery, without the cumbersome use of eye drops, which take more than 30 minutes to achieve results, have systemic toxicity and may contaminate the eye surface.

This newer technique will provide adequate mydriasis without use of repeated instillation of mydriatic eye drops, thus saving time, manpower, adverse drug reactions and resources.
