What is it about?

simple,asymptomatic growth over skin of recent onset can be a great imitator,in some cases, clinically mislead to your diagnosis,which can only confirm with help of histopathological examination,as in our case the cystic appearance of skin lesion was pilomatricoma which is appendagial benign tumor,which was establish after skin biopsy.

Why is it important?

masquerading appendagial tumor are not very uncommon,so every such cases should be biopised to confirm your dignosis

Perspectives

In our case the patient presented with very short history,atypical appearance and bigger size ,unusual site, to be thought as pilomatricoma for first differential was not convincing,so when it came to be pilomatricoma on biopsy,we wanted it to be send for (photo quiz) publication.
