What is it about?
Giant lung bullae are responsible for significant respiratory compromise leading to dyspnea at rest. Medical management offers no benefit . Surgical intervention involves resection of bulla under general anaesthesia with one lung ventilation. This case report describes a 47 year old male patient with giant emphysematous bullae and summarizes the clinical presentation, treatment and decision making involved in this complex case along with a summary of the relevant literature.
