What is it about?
The technology of boronation of titanium from the gas phase is presented. At saturation of titanium from the gas mixture, titanium borides, titanium nitrides, as well as titanium and chromium carbides can be produced in the coating. The microhardness of the coating is 2800-3200 HV0. 1. The thickness of the diffusion coatings in this case can be up to 75 microns.
