Our recent Review "Ferroelectric Materials for High Temperature Piezoelectric Applications” is unique in starting from the basics for beginners (including a well-defined classification of the materials involved) and leading to latest & potential applications of piezoelectric materials in tools, sensors and actuators. It covers varied fields like monitoring of rocket & vehicle exhausts, fast breeder reactor safety, high temperature ultrasonic imaging, drilling etc. Lead free piezoelectric materials are reviewed. Limited risk, during use, of lead containing piezoelectric materials in special applications has also been reviewed. An update on various piezoelectric materials has been compiled.
