What is it about?
Phase changes in electrodeposited manganese dioxide induced by Li-ions in an electrolyte
Featured Image
Why is it important?
There is no well established experimental facts and results about influence of indifferent ions like Li+ on phase changes at electrodepostion of manganese dioxide from aqueous electrolytes
Perspectives
The Li-O-Mn(IV) system compounds found important application as host structures for Li+-ions in Li-ion batteries. Whereas, the template effects of Li+ influence on phase composition are possible without expected presence of Li-ions in final product. New synthetic routes could be planned based on this finding and symmetry principles are the road map of the further success. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/282910343_ON_SYMMETRY_PRINCIPLES_OF_MANGANESE_OXIDE_COMPOUNDS_PHASE_TRANSITIONS_AT_ANODE_ELECTRODEPOSITION
