What is it about?

Portland-Cellular Lightweight Cement (OPC-CLC) is one of lightweight construction materials, which widely used nowadays. The same Cellular Lightweight Cement (CLC) technique is applied to the production of Geopolymer cement called "Geopolymer-Cellular Lightweight Cement (GP-CLC)". With the same dry density, it is clearly seen that GP-CLC achieves higher strength that of OPC-CLC from its superior structure of geopolymeric formation.

Why is it important?

Industrial wastes or by-products using Geopolymer technique can be used to produce lightweight construction materials.
