What is it about?

Yttrium iron garnet thin films is an attractive material. We prepared YIG thin films using a sol-gel method. The films were annealed in Oxygen to enhance structural and magnetic properties. The films have very nice surface morphology, and they have a garnet structure. The films showed a soft magnetic behavior with garn size in the range between 27 and 31 nm.

Why is it important?

The YIG films annealed in Oxygen environment sowed high saturation magnetization and low coercivity value. This result makes the films are important product fo magnetic sensor applications.
