What is it about?

This experiment not only focuses on the sand samples characteristic and physical properties of proppant, but the samples also tested through the impingement test at a gas velocity of 100 m/s. The results show that the sand particles size, the hardness of the targeted metal and distance between nozzle and target affect the mass loss of the targeted metal.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that the mass loss of the targeted metal decreased with a decrease in particle size and metal hardness and with an increase in the distance between the nozzle and the targeted metal.
