Synthesis and Thermal Properties of Azobenzene Core Polyester Dendrimers with Trityl Groups at the Periphery

What is it about?

Azobenzene dendrimers have been synthesized with bulky, nonpolar end groups using dendrimers with polar hydroxy groups as starting material. New molecules are red colored glassy material. Thermal properties (glass transition temperature, melting point, and thermal degradation temperature) have been investigated for both starting materials and products.
