What is it about?
When drilling with a high temperature, the burr height is easier to perform since it would melt the metal and contribute to the premature wear at the cutting tools. Hence, drilling parameters and geometry should be optimize in order to achieve a minimum drilling temperature.

Why is it important?
We customize the optimum twist drill geometry and drilling parameters in order to achieve high quality of drilled hole and longer tool life span.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also will contribute to the aircraft tool manufacturer to have better understanding on drilling a stack up material and to produce a correct geometry for the existing tool (twist drill)
