Why is it important?

Lightweight aluminum alloys play a key role in modern engineering, being the most commonly used non-ferrous metals. In particular, aluminum-magnesium alloys have high specific strength, high corrosion resistance and processability, and are therefore widely used for the design of structural elements in aerospace engineering, high- speed crafts, and cars. Increasing requirements for the strength and reliability of structural elements of new products stimulate the development of alloy processing technologies in order to improve the strength properties of alloys. This paper is aimed to study changes in the grain structure parameters, physical and mechanical characteristics of aluminum-magnesium alloy 1560 under severe plastic deformation by multiple orthogonal ECAP.

Perspectives

I hope that this article will give people a fresh look at the prospects of application nanostructured aluminum -magnesium alloys
