What is it about?
Plant materials have natural healing properties. If combined with biocompatible polymers to achieve materials with enhanced medicinal properties. To achieve this, the two components should mix at the molecular level. This paper studies the miscibility of the two components.

Why is it important?
Pine gum had been used as herbal medicine by different groups but has never been explored scientifically as to how this can be used in commercial products without investing too much money in developing a new one. This study looks at the miscibility of the pine gum with a biocompatible polymer.
Perspectives
We believe that natural plant materials that exhibit medicinal properties can be used to develop materials that will be useful in medical Science.
