What is it about?

Glassy metals possess amazing mechanical properties deriving from their amorphous structure. Due to the presence of metal atoms of different sizes and diffusivities, their surface mechanical properties differs from the bulk ones. This paper analyses the nano-indentation tests in terms of elastic modulus variation and penetration depth.
