Corrosion inhibitor of mild steel by polar extract of theobroma cacao peels

What is it about?

Corrosion protection is an important thing of using metal for any applications. For structural applications, we have found that an addition of theobroma cacao peels extract (TCPE), a new proposed green inhibitor, can inhibit corrosion process through formation of metal-organo complexes protection layer in the surface of the mild steels and also diminish the mechanical properties reduction of the mild steels.
