Why is it important?
Pilot studies have shown higher efficiency of new aluminosilicate-based sorbents in comparison with absorbent carbon during sorption of such model pollutants as methylene blue, phenol and ions of heavy metals.
Perspectives
This work used a complex of analytical methods allowing to obtain exhaustive information about structure and sorption properties of new modifications of the obtained sorbents from clay, as well as about their efficiency in water purification from phenols, heavy metals and methylene blue. Experimental studies have shown higher efficiency of new aluminosilicate-based sorbents in comparison with absorbent carbon of BAU-A brand in sorption of these polluting substances from model solutions. Of the obtained sorbents revealed are modifications which can be effectively used for tertiary treatment of sewage of industrial enterprises. New sorbents differ from existing ones not only in a higher sorption activity, but also profitability, availability, simplicity of production and a possibility of complete utilization without secondary environmental pollution.
