Why is it important?
A modern city is becoming a reflection of a modern information society. The development of IT technologies and advanced mobility of population result in rapid changes of lifestyle, types of activity, cultural requirements of a citizen. Architecture needs to be adapted to such changes. It requires designing and developing public space as a dynamic, non-complete, open environmental system with a possibility of persistent change
Perspectives
The latest achievement in evolution of dynamic architecture is ‘genetic’ architecture, i.e. space capability to be self-reproduced, self-improved and self-regulated.
