Considered the ecology of construction. A study of the gamma background in residential, public and industrial premises constructed of various building materials is presented; methods for protecting the population from the effects of natural radionuclides are developed.

Why is it important?
Environmental requirements must be considered at the design stage. The building materials chosen should be safe for people, not emit substances harmful to their health, not have a carcinogenic effect, their radioactive background should not be above the norm. To minimize the damage to the construction of the environment, technologies and materials are used that do not pose a danger to the environment and human health.
Perspectives
The purpose of this work is to study the gamma background in rooms built of various building materials, and to develop methods to protect the public from the effects of natural radionuclides.
