What is it about?
To obtain advanced ceramic components from colloidal suspensions is extremelly important to understand and controll all forces that act on particle system. Studies involving superficial behavior, stability conditions of suspensions and its flow behavior supply substantital parameters to control the processes in manufacturing ceramic components.

Why is it important?
This work reports a rheological study of Y2O3 aqueous suspensions, in which processing parameters such as solids content, dispersant concentration, and pH are evaluated.
Perspectives
The stability of yttria suspensions is achieved from pH 8 and using 1wt.% PAA. The highest zeta potential value takes place at pH 10 (56mV).
