What is it about?
Geopolymer concrete is a suitable alternative to the OPC concrete, able to extensively curb the CO2 emissions. The main component of this concrete is fly ash (FA), and/or ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) rich with silica and alumina can react with alkaline activator solution.

Why is it important?
1. Geopolymer concrete has the ability to reduce CO2 emissions 2. Establish a more durable infrastructure capable of setting a design life estimated in hundreds of years. 3. Conserve an extensive areas of land resently used for the disposal of waste product generated from thermal power plant and steel plant. 4. Protect aquifers and fresh water surface bodies via the elimination of waste products disposal sites.
Perspectives
I hope this article to be the onset of the development of geopolymer concrete production and how to find the most economical ways to produce such a concrete via doing a series of experiments.
