What is it about?

It is important that citizens are able to access services via e-government. This is the future. Libraries are bypassed in their ability to help citizens access these services. This article looks at the situation and makes recommendations.

Why is it important?

Access to e-government is important if citizens are to retain their democratic and constitutional right to be participants in Government. Although these issues seem unimportant for public libraries in the English-speaking Caribbean, this article provides evidence why this should be the case.

Perspectives

I am very passionate about citizen empowerment in understanding elected governments and libraries' role in the process of empowering and making facilities available and possible to allow this. My focus is mainly on developing countries since I believe this is where most of the literature is deficient.
