What is it about?
We designed and implemented an OER repository called LeMill, which organically grew to be on of the largest in the world. Here we describe the role thorough design played in making LeMill successful.

Why is it important?
Many software solutions are too difficult to use. Especially when you want people to voluntarily use something, it needs to be simple, and written from their perspective.
Perspectives
LeMill was the second educational software solution I was involved in constructing. Design played an extensive role, and I thought it would be useful to record that process and its benefits for others.
