What is it about?
Sangaku geometry is brought into a graphics, vector based environment
Featured Image
Why is it important?
Visualization and visual imagery are important tools for the understanding, appreciation, and teaching of mathematics. It is also the privileged field of investigation of visual artists. The Japanese Sangaku tradition explores and highlights the strength and consistency of mathematical theories based on fundamental concepts of geometry.
Perspectives
The Sangaku tradition is a timeless expression of universal consensus. It also brings into our technological environment the same elements of intellectual, spiritual and esthetic satisfaction and may also reach new audiences of scientists, artists and the public at large.

The 12-30 project
The 12-30 project is a one year long project inspired by mathematics and geometry. The image sequences are organized around 12 mathematical visualization programs, 1 program a month, 1 image a day in each program. The Sangaku iconography was revisited in Geogebra, month of November
