What is it about?

This is a first paper in which the authors found a relativistic universal law of gravitation in agreement with the Schwarzschil solution of the two-body problem in the theory of general realtivity (GR), but wthout invoking GR's curved space apparatus. The agreement with GR was within 3 decimal places.

Why is it important?

The discovery of a relativistic graivitational law that agrees with GR has been sought for more than 100 year - since the announcement of GR in 1915. This inexpected discovery comes as a surprise to many, and demonstrates that there exists an intimate connection between relativistic mechanics and GR.
