Why is it important?

Recent developments have increased the diversity of student profiles. To promote inclusive practices, collaboration among higher education (HE) teachers is essential. This study examines the impact of a training program based on forum theatre (FT) on HE teachers’ perception of their collaborative abilities and their experience of an inclusive environment. Sixteen HE teachers participated in the program, and thirteen were included in the study. A mixed-methods approach, combining questionnaires and self-recordings, was used. Findings suggest that the co-construction of an FT, through embodied and interactive exercises, fosters active listening and openness to others. This research may contribute to advancing reflection on the preparation of HE teachers for inclusive education.
