This study presents a post-stack acoustic impedance inversion method based on an elitist genetic algorithm combined with an annealing strategy within a constant-Q viscoacoustic framework. A newly derived Z–Q reflectivity equation that accounts for attenuation effects within a constant-Q viscoacoustic medium is used for the forward modeling.
