What is it about?
We present results of a multidimensional multistage iterative source-separation (MS-ISSP) algorithm with priors for removal of simultaneous source interference noise on marine seismic data.

Why is it important?
With the continued pursuit for acquisition efficiency within the seismic industry and advances in deblending technology, the number of towed-streamer seismic surveys acquired with overlapping shots that require deblending has increased. This presents a challenge where natural dither schemes can result in strong, coherent and random noise which must be deblended from weak coherent signal. Further challenges from other sources of noise such as environmental, background noise and static time-shifts must also be addressed.
