What is it about?
The paper deals with the adsorption of an important organic compound which has several applications as a drug precursor, rubber vulcanization and corrosion inhibition. Being an organo sulphur, it has a high affinity towards copper, this fact helps the organic compound to adsorb and form a physical barrier between the metal and the electrolite, effectively inhibiting the corrosion process.

Why is it important?
The paper contributes with relevant data about the adsorption behaviour of 2MBT on Cu, from the perspective a micro-gravimetric technique such as the electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance. Showing that the adsorption behaviour of 2MBT follows the Langmuir isotherm.
