What is it about?
Adiponectin is the only substance produced in the fat tissue that have a protective effect in the development of diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM2) and atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Low levels of adiponectin are associated with an increased risk. Interestingly there are now evidence that shows that nutritional intervention as an adequate intake of aged garlic extract increase the levels of adiponectin suggesting that this is the mechanism because garlic produce the long time well knows preventive action in DM2 and CVD
