What is it about?

A very rare congenital anomaly with right sided stomach, left sided gall bladder, midline liver, multiple nodules of spleen, left sided appendix and many other vascular anomalies. Such anomalies are due to disturbance in right-left determination. A very rare anomaly observed was continuation of left renal vein as hemiazygos vein. Presence of such anomalies is detected incidentally since this condition is asymptomatic

Study of such anomalies will help to understand how the right and left sided position of various asymmetrical organs is determined.
