What is it about?
How close are the anterior arteries of the elbow to bone? We measured how close the elbow arteries were to the anterior ulna and how the distances changed with elbow flexion.

Why is it important?
Drill bits and k-wires are often passed from posterior to anterior during surgery without direct visualization of the anterior side. Our measurements can be used as surgical guides to reduce the risk of arterial injury during surgery.
