What is it about?
Excessive salt intake through processed foods increases the risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, and effects on the cardiovascular system. Cutting down on salt is much more effective to prevent these diseases. Parboiled rice soaked in the salt solution was roasted or heated at high temperature to make puffed rice. Puffed rice is a crispy snacks with low in calories and fat-free. So reducing the content of sodium by substituting potassium may prove beneficial for maintaining the health.
