What is it about?

The paper presents the evolution of firms and territories sustainability assessment in France over 20 years. Even if local authorities and firms have common referential and share the same territories, their sustainability indicators diverge. The study point out the strategic interest for local development to facilitate the convergence of these two sets of indicators. The new legal framework of Grenelle 2 and SCoT offers a good opportunity to achieve this convergence. Actually, sustainable business parks or eco-zones could be a very good way to explore and make it happen. Classification JEL : C42, D21, Q01, Q56, Q58, R58
