Why is it important?

Interactions between adult spiders and predatory or parasitoid wasps are a well-known phenomenon. Wasps from the families Crabronidae, Sphecidae and Pompilidae paralyze adult or sub-adult spiders, which are taken as food for the larvae. On the other hand, predators of spider eggs have received much less attention, particularly in regard to their host-seeking behavior and their influence on the fitness of spiders.
