What is it about?

Byron's ancestors were Lancashire-based gentry from near Rochdale, hence his title (Baron Byron of Rochdale). In 1811 he visited the Gregg Hopwoods at Hopwood Hall in Middleton in order to arrange the sale of his Lancashire lands.
