Why is it important?
To develop a new strategy for saying possible route of cytoprotectivity by using inexpensive test systems (brine shrimp lethality bioassay and hemolysis). Phytol exhibited cytoprotectivity in these test systems.

These methods can be used to investigate cytoprotective activity. Phytol's cytoprotective trait may be due to its oxidation stress ebbing pathway.
