What is it about?

Open Science is an emerging area of scientific practice, which holds the potential to ease our journey towards the sustainable development goals. Mental health is an area which has relations to both the open science movement, and sustainable development. This policy brief presents a model which can be used to integrate open science and mental health towards sustainable development in a low resource setting.

Open science could be a major catalyst in the journey towards sustainable development. Mental health is also crucial for sustainable development. It is important that policy making process integrate these strands together.


This paper was placed second in the paper competition sponsored by the UNESCO, UN MGCY and the Journal of Science Policy and Governance (JSPG).
