Why is it important?

Although there have been many studies handling students entrepreneurial intention, only a limited number of studies have focused on tourism stu-dents’ entrepreneurial intention, and it is worth noting that from an educational perspective, investi-gating entrepreneurial intention of tourism students may play a role in the design of tourism curri-cula. Furthermore, there is a shortage of studies explicating entrepreneurial intention in the Middle East countries. Thus, the current study helps in filling this gap.

Perspectives

Entrepreneurship development plays a signifi-cant role in the economic growth, and in this con-text, tourism is considered an attractive field for nascent entrepreneurs. Many researchers investi-gated the variables that influence the individual be-havior to become an entrepreneur, and a consider-able number of them focused specifically on the university students’ entrepreneurial intention. Only a limited number handled entrepreneurial intention of tourism students, and it is worth noting that from an educational perspective, investigating entrepre-neurial intention of tourism students may play a role in the design of tourism curricula.
