Why is it important?

TSI is positive in majority of female Euthyroid Graves’ ophthalmopathy patients in age between 41 and 55 years. Early diagnosis with the help of TSI in euthyroid Graves’ disease can prevent ocular complications by timely referral to the endocrinologist.

Perspectives

Emphasis should be given to early diagnosis and timely management of the patients. By estimating TSI, further unnecessary and expensive invasive and non-invasive investigations can be avoided.
