What is it about?
Synthesis of nanoparticles is a growing research area that is attracting interest in the research community. We synthesize nanoparticles using onion extracts. Several chemicals have been used in the synthesis but we chose the green synthesis because it is safe and friendly

Why is it important?
Onion extract has antimicrobial properties and are known to be sensitive against several microorganisms that cause infections. Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles are better alternative to physical and chemical methods that require chemical compounds as reducing agents and mostly not environmental friendly.
Perspectives
Doing the research and writing this article alongside the co-authors was a great pleasure because solution to antimicrobial resistance is a developmental goal and this article is a step towards finding an alternative to the use of antibiotics.
