What is it about?
We examine current situation of SMEs in South Korea on education of FTA and consulting of FTA. We interviewed more than 70 firms in South Korea. and finds that only small number of firms in our data set has received consulting services from expert on tariff. and only relatively small number of SMEs has an experience of education on FTA from organizations. The problem is that the contents of education is overlapped.

Why is it important?
SMEs have to utilize FTA in exports. In case of Korea, Korea has FTAs with more than 50 countries in the world, Because of this, there will be noodle bowl effect. To exit from this situation, they need information of FTAs. The problem is that they have not enough information of FTA.
Perspectives
The policy implication is that government has to create new kinds of educational opportunities for SMEs in South Korea to enhance their abilities to use FTAs.
