What is it about?
Third Sector Organizations (TSOs) should ground their actions in ethical principles, seeking not only to generate social impact, but also to do so in an ethical and transparent way. This article analyzes the images published on Facebook by social assistance TSOs in Mexico and Spain, based on six variables derived from the Code of Conduct on Images and Messages Relating to the Third World.

Why is it important?
Third Sector Organizations (TSOs) have as their primary purpose the achievement of social objectives in an altruistic manner, for the benefit of vulnerable groups. Consequently, they must communicate ethically and transparently with their stakeholders in order to gain support for their actions. Today, digital communication is a key tool for disseminating strategic messages, particularly through images. These images should avoid conveying messages that harm, discriminate against, or undermine the dignity of individuals.
