What is it about?
The dialysis arteriovenous fistula is the preferred vascular access for dialysis. However, there is a high failure rate for dialysis vascular accesses. We demonstrate that accelerated aging processes contribute to failure of a pre-clinical model of fistula. This is clinically relevant because drugs that slow aging are now undergoing clinical trials.
