Global Perspective on Challenges and Potential Solutions to Increasing Peritoneal Dialysis in Egypt

What is it about?

Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is an important way of Renal replacement therapy Globally, in particular for the Pediatric population and for patients with difficult vascular access. Despite the introduction of PD in Egypt was in 1972, many challenges were met locally leading to having less than 1% of ESKD patients on PD. We are documenting the history on PD in Egypt's since its beginning until the current time, highlighting the challenges met and suggesting the potential solutions to increasing PD in Egypt .
