What is it about?

Few studies have explored the impact of socioeconomic position on chronic kidney disease (CKD). In a cohort of 127,457 incident CKD cases from 2012 to 2021, we analyzed possible socioeconomic inequalities in mortality and ESKD. As a measure of SEP, we used a composite indicator of deprivation. We found substantial inequalities in mortality, stronger in men than in women, and no evidence of association between deprivation and ESKD.
